WESLEY
"Wes"

Wes is 14 years old and recently started riding with me on his own bike. He rode a dirt bike for 6 years before this. The bike pictured is not the one he rides. His is yellow, a 2006 Ninja 250, and only has 1250 miles on it. He put the last 900 on it so far. On April 2, he will start the Riders Edge course. Wes plays all sports and this year he wrestled on the local high school team.

Wes completed the Riders Edge training course. He scored 100 on the written and 100 on the riding. He immediately started talking about taking the Advanced Riders Course. I don’t think it will happen this summer.

Wes and I had to be at Rocket Harley at 8 each morning. Doc met me there Saturday and we took off to Mt. Cheaha. It was a good ride, nice back roads, 12 miles of dirt road, warm weather. We did have to get in a hurry to make it back and pick up Wes. Our ride was about 350 miles. When I droped Wes off on Sunday, I headed to Fayetteville for a little riding and breakfast. My total miles this weekend, 564.

JOHNNY
"Quad"

Johnny was the original child of mine. He now has his own 6 year old daughter. He works on tug boats pushing barges up and down the rivers and sometimes out in the gulf.

Wes and I were fortunate enough to go watch them and vist the tug. It is amazing how much weight they can push.

Occassionally Johnny rides with us, he started riding a motorcycle when he had just barely turned 4.

JODI
"Strike"

Jodi has left the ship. On Monday at 11 AM the officers of the USS Hue City lined up and saluted her as they said their fair wells. She is now stationed at Naval Weapons Station Charleston, where she will be trained as a nuclear engineer. This should last about 13 months.


Jodi graduated in May 2007 from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. The past year she was assigned to the USS Hue City and served as the Strike Officer.

The search has ended. The perfect Harley has been located and purchased.  

 

Jodi bought a 2008 Dyna Low Rider at Rocket Harley Davidson on Tuesday.  

The experience was so much fun for both of us. She handled it just like a pro, made her own deal, arranged it all, and started buying the accessories. I really need to thank Chris Reeves her salesman for his undivided attention and help.
